Positive: The house was very nice! All the furniture, fixtures, countertops and appliances looked brand new. I'd gladly stay here again. Our host, James, was great. He greeted us and showed us where everything was when we checked in, and kept to himself after that, so it was like having the entire house to ourselves. The house is very centrally located, right between the Volcano park and Hilo, but it's in a rural development, so be prepared to drive half an hour to get to anything worthwhile. Also, while I enjoyed falling asleep to the sounds of nature, be aware you'll be hearing the sounds of frogs, birds, crickets, and roosters each night.
